|POSITION TITLE:||Admissions Counselor|
|PERSONNEL STATUS:||Exempt, Full-time, Regular|
|DEPARTMENT:||Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:||The incumbent will serve in the role of Admissions Counselor and be responsible for substantial recruitment of prospective freshman and transfer students through school visits, college fairs, and information sessions. Specific duties include: conducting information sessions; reviewing freshman and transfer applications; rendering appropriate admissions decisions; maintaining ongoing communication with prospective and admitted students and their families; assisting in programmatic efforts; applying university policies; and performing other duties as assigned.|
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires Bachelorís degree. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills and possess a valid driverís license.
Note: The position requires frequent local and out-of-state travel during the fall and spring. Some evening and weekend work required.
