|RESPONSIBILITIES:||The incumbent will support the technical component of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education activities in JCET. Current activities include NASA-funded engineering education projects that focus on robotics and rocketry, including using the physics of rocket motion to teach systems science and engineering. New work is expected in the area of green energy technology development. Responsibilities include: designing and delivering STEM programming for grades K-16; designing and delivering training to K-16 educators (areas to be addressed include robotics, electronics, computer programming, the physics and engineering of green energy solutions including research design for solar energy experiments and wind LIDAR); serving as liaison to educational networks for nationwide dissemination of STEM programming; preparing technical reports for funding agencies; and performing other duties as assigned. |
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelorís degree in Science, Engineering, Math or a related field and a Masterís degree in Teaching. At least one year experience in STEM education-related field required. Experience in technical instructional development highly desirable.
Note: This position is a grant-funded position, wherein employment is
contingent upon the renewal of the grant.
