|POSITION TITLE:||Administrative Assistant II (Job #027)|
|PERSONNEL STATUS:||Nonexempt, Part-time, Regular|
|DEPARTMENT:||Geography and Environmental Systems|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:||The incumbent shall be responsible for providing administrative support to the Department of Geography and Environmental Systems. Specific duties include: maintaining budget; reconciling checks; providing payroll backup; controlling inventory; serving as Graduate Program Assistant; and performing other duties as assigned.
Position will work approximately 20 hours per week. |
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires a High School Diploma/GED and three years providing administrative support. Strong written and verbal skills and attention to detail are required. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and be able to provide support to faculty, staff and students in a positive manner. Proficiency with Excel and Word and experience with Quicken desired. Previous experience working in a university setting preferred. Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
Note: Position may require a typing test, skills exercise and background check.
|SALARY:||Pay Range 9 (starting at $15,152.50 for 20 hour position) based on the University of Maryland Pay System.|
