|POSITION TITLE:||Maintenance Aide II (Job # 024RR) Search Extended|
|PERSONNEL STATUS:||Nonexempt, Full-time, Regular|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:||Under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Operations, the incumbent will have direct responsibility and accountability to assist the Athletic Department in the areas of athletic grounds and general maintenance. Responsibilities will include: assisting our grounds department with mowing of hills and trimming selected grass areas, lining fields, snow removal, mechancial equipment operation and basic grounds duties; assisting the facilites department with general trade skills including carpentry, painting, and electric; and performing other duties as assigned by Athletic Director. |
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires a High School diploma/GED and two years of experience in athletic grounds maintenance and/or general maintenance work. Must have good communication skills and ability to operate basic hand and small power tools. Knowledge of Athletics and NCAA rules and regulations helpful.
Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
|SALARY:||Pay Range 5 (starting at $23,058) based on the University System of Maryland Pay Program.
