RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Assistant Director for Marketing and Communications, the commonvision Coordinator will serve as the lead project manager for marketing/branding campaigns, pre-production work of graphics and creative arts (including digital and traditional graphic arts), manipulation of scanned digital images, various imagery systems, and the overall management of commonvision UMBC Design & Print Center and iNet digital studio. This position will work in depth with content development, social media campaigns, and overall communication and marketing for student organizations, departments, and the Division of Student Affairs. The incumbent will be responsible for managing, hiring, training, and evaluating student and graduate assistant staff.In addition, the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in visual arts, graphic design, marketing & communications or related field. Experience with computer programs such as Adobe Creative Suite required with additional imagery program skills preferred. Must have the ability to work with a diverse student staff and serve as the lead communications person with academic departments, faculty, administrators, and student organizations. Experience with in-depth social media campaigns highly preferred.
SALARY:Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
