RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent will assist in providing administrative support to the English Department. Specific duties include: providing payroll backup; submitting online scheduling; assisting with phones and visitors to the department; keeping files; completing various PeopleSoft processes; preparing SCEQ packets; updating catalog; maintaining two foundation accounts; printing time sheets; and performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: Requires a High School Diploma or GED and three years full time administrative/secretarial experience. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and a proficiency in MS Word required. The ability to multi-task is strongly desired. Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus. Note: Position may require a typing test, skills exercise and/or a background check.
SALARY:Pay Range 9 (starting at $30,305) based on a University System of Maryland Pay Program.
