RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent will assist in providing administrative support to the College of Engineering and Information Technology (COEIT) faculty and staff located in the Technology Research Center (TRC Bldg.). Specific duties include: providing travel reservation and travel reimbursement assistance; handling room reservations for the TRC Building; handling express shipments; receiving and sorting mail for building occupants; coordinating housekeeping activities in the TRC building; assisting with Foundation requests for disbursements: coordinating AIM requests for the TRC building; ordering office supplies; reporting and monitoring emergency repairs and safety concerns with Facilities and Environmental Safety and Health; assisting with phones and visitors to the TRC building; maintaining files; assisting in procurement activities; maintaining and managing a P-Card; completing various PeopleSoft processes; maintaining COEIT equipment in TRC; managing the TRC parking permits; and performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a High School Diploma/GED and three years full time experience providing administrative/secretarial support. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and a proficiency in MS Word required. The ability to multi-task and to work independently is strongly desired. Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus. Note: Position may require a typing test, skills exercise and a background check.
SALARY:Pay Range 9 (starting at $30,305) based on a University System of Maryland Pay Program
