|RESPONSIBILITIES:||Reporting directly to the Chair of the department, the incumbent will organize, control, and communicate concerning the administrative workflow related to CSEE. Responsibilities include: supervising program management specialist, administrative assistant and overall responsibility for the operation all undergraduate and graduate programs including scheduling, and classroom assignments; coordinating the hiring of all part-time faculty, TA's, UTA, GRA's and graders in the department; representing the department to the Registrar, COEIT Dean's Office, and other administrative and academic units on campus; supervising the organization of data collected for accreditation; developing electronic calendars that project the important due dates/milestones for the Department including meetings, P&T, scheduling, accreditation, and ensuring that appropriate personnel have easy access to these calendars; helping organize data records and files in a convenient electronic format for appropriate personnel to use; and performing other duties as assigned. |
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelorís degree and at least two years (six preferred) of administrative work. Previous supervisory and higher education experience strongly preferred. Must have the ability to: efficiently organize the chair's activities including interaction with on campus and off campus entities and prioritize items for the chair; make independent judgments based on the Chair's priorities; and report and make recommendations to the Chair concerning the issues affecting CSEE that need to be resolved including personnel, student, academic, and administrative issues. Familiarity with and use of Word, Excel, Access, and Filemaker required.
