|POSITION TITLE:||Production Coordinator|

|DEPARTMENT:||Office of Institutional Advancement|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:||The incumbent will manage the production of print materials and mailings from design to delivery and payment for the department and key university offices. The coordinator will work with almost 100 UMBC client departments as well as printers and mailhouses to provide high-quality materials that reflect the excellence of the division and the university while keeping an eye on cost. Specific duties include: acting as the primary liaison with vendors; communicating specifications; obtaining bids; serving as quality control for projects in production; providing administrative assistance to UMBCís Creative Services (ie, paying invoices, tracking jobs, and maintaining UMBC Magazine mailing lists and coordinating distribution); recommending the latest in printing and production technology to the design team; and performing other duties as assigned. |
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelorís degree in design or related field (art, project management, communications and/or marketing). One year experience in production coordination preferred. Well-rounded knowledge of production and printing methods is desired. Excellent written, organizational, and verbal communication skills is essential. Must be able to work independently.
