RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent will follow established University System of Maryland Foundation (USMF), University System of Maryland, and the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) policies and procedures for USMF/UMBC gift processing and alumni/donor/prospect data management. Duties involve decision-making and analysis and are performed under general supervision. Responsibilities include: the processing of all charitable donations to the university, to include cash, checks, credit cards, gifts-in-kind, matching gifts, payroll deduction, and planned gifts; conducting research and biographical maintenance in the Ellucian Advance database; maintaining paper and electronic files; communicating regularly with UMBC and USMF employees; and performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelorís degree and one year direct sales or fundraising experience which may have involved phonathons, alumni relations, or special events. Three years of experience in data entry/data control activities is preferred. Previous experience with a development/fundraising database and Microsoft Excel is desired. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Position will require a background check. Note: Additional related experience and formal education may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
SALARY:Pay Range 9 (starting at $31,894) based on a University System of Maryland Pay Program.
