RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent will assist the Events Coordinator and Associate Director of Communications and Programs with the planning, implementation and logistics of over 60 admissions, scholarship, and orientation events per year. Specific duties include: arranging catering orders and set-up; assisting with booking event spaces; creating room layouts; ordering supplies and audiovisual equipment; preparing nametags, materials, giveaways, registration lists, etc.; meeting the quality expectations of the university; advising the Student Ambassador team; managing PeopleSoft Events and Orientation registration databases; producing statistical reports for events assessment and evaluation; preparing communication to prospective students; staffing events and meetings; supervising student program assistants; providing back up to the Events Coordinator; and performing other duties as assigned. This position plays an important role in assisting the university and officeís recruitment and programmatic efforts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a Bachelorís degree. One year of related admissions or events experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Database management and mail merge experience desired. A valid driverís license is required. Note: Position requires some evening and weekend hours.
SALARY:Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
