|DEPARTMENT:||Office of the Provost|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:||Reporting to the Provost and Associate Provost for Financial Management, the incumbent will be responsible for administering the business operations in the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice President for Research. Specific duties include: overseeing accounting, financial operations, personnel payroll administration and budgeting; managing accounting records for state, self-support and auxiliary budgets; managing federal, state, local and foundation-sponsored contracts and grants for the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice President for Research; and performing other duties as assigned.
|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:||Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and three years of experience in accounting or related area. CPA or MBA preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Experience with Enterprise-wide systems, database management, PeopleSoft (Human Resources, Student Administration, Procurement, G/L, and Grants) is strongly preferred. Experience with Higher Education Institutions desired.
