RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications for The Commons, the incumbent is responsible for designing interfaces and applications for the web and mobile devices Specific duties include: creating design prototypes; providing design expertise and consultation to and for the Division of Student Affairs; collaborating and developing marketing campaigns incorporating branding support through web development; researching, designing, and implementing new sections/features/content for existing web sites; ensuring Web site architecture and content is designed based on best practices of organic SEO; analyzing and reporting Web site traffic statistics and search engine trends; designing, planning and producing content and materials for print, multimedia and promotional campaigns; developing and creating materials for the universityís internal digital signage system with animation, video and or 3D motion graphics; investigating existing and emerging technologies; creating and maintaining style guides; assisting with the management and supervision of the digital signage studio staff and projects; and performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a Bachelorís degree preferably in communication, design, or a related field and at least one year of related work experience, preferably working in a Web environment, as well as with branding and marketing campaign development in print, digital (animation) media production. Experience with: Branding & Identity, CSS, Color Management, Digital Imaging, Digital Photography, Graphic Design, Javascript, Motion Graphics Design, PHP, Pre-Press, Print Design, Signage, Typography, Video Production/Editing, Web Design, XHTML, XML; demonstrated knowledge of Web design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, After Effects, Premiere strongly desired. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SALARY:Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
