HELPFUL INFORMATION
FOR COMPLETING
MS WORD INTERACTIVE FORMS
Several of the Human Resources forms have been made interactive using the forms feature in MS Word. A shaded box will appear in each area of the form in which information should be entered. The interactive features will allow you to type, save and print the form.
Helpful Hints for using the interactive form:
Use the tab key to move from
field to field
The fields will expand to accommodate
the amount of text inserted. Text will automatically wrap around to the
next line.
Use the enter key to move to
the next line within the same field (i.e. to start a new paragraph or
create spacing between paragraphs)
To mark a check box, type the
letter X or click in the box using your mouse
How to edit an interactive form:
There may be situations when you would like to edit an interactive form (change spacing, change the font, delete pages, etc.).
The interactive forms have a lock(protection) on them that prevents users from making edits. You may make edits by turning off the lock(protection) feature. Please use the following instructions:
Directions for Unlocking MS Word Forms.
Note: The lock (protection) may be turned back on after the edits have been made.
