• Locations: Nine universities in Cape Town, Durban, Fort Hare Grahamstown, Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg, Port Elizabeth and Stellenbosch
• Terms: Semester, academic year, calendar year (Southern Hemisphere academic year)
• Requirements: 2.8 GPA for most sites, 3.0 GPA for University of Cape Town

Notes: South African universities are of excellent quality and operate on the semester system. Instruction is almost all universities is in English. Instruction at Stellenbosch University is mosty in Afrikaans, but approximately 20% of all courses are taught in English.  These courses concentrate on South African and regional history, politics, literature, and area studies.
