Financial Documentation ResourcesPlease read and complete the Financial Responsibility Form when applying to UMBC.Graduate, Teaching, Research Assistantships or Fellowships: If you are a graduate student receiving any of the above, no additional materials will be required from you. We will receive a copy of your award letter from the department. A full assistantship from this university is sufficient documentation for purposes of obtaining an I-20. If you are hoping for support from the University, you will need to contact your department directly, as all funding comes through them, not the Graduate School or the International Education Services office.
