All UMBC study abroad students are required to attend a pre-departure orientation in the months before they depart.  During this session, students will get more information on issues of cultural adjustment and culture shock, hear from past participants, learn about health and safety overseas, and much more.  Students will also receive their Study Abroad Registration Packet, which they must submit to the Study Abroad Office prior to their departure.

This semester's pre-departure orientation will be held at the following date and time.

Attendence at the pre-departure orientation session is mandatory, and it is a requirement of your participation in your study abroad program.   Students who choose not to participate in this required activity will not be permitted to enroll for study abroad credit.
