In the event of a political, social, health, or natural emergency, the Study Abroad Office will be in close contact with the on-site staff for any study abroad program offered through the Study Abroad Office. The on-site staff will in turn seek advice from the local authorities and the US Consulate or Embassy nearest the program location. Be sure to remain in contact with the on-site staff in an emergency situation.
In case of an emergency you should feel free to contact the Study Abroad Office at 410.455.2624 at any time.
It is the student’s responsibility to notify the on-site personnel as to when and where they can be reached anytime they leave the program site. It is recommended that you know your family member’s travel plans before departure so they can be contacted in case of emergency. If you know where they will be traveling, messages can often be left for them in care of General Delivery at the main post office in most countries.
We would like to stress the importance of you or someone in your family having a valid passport the entire time your daughter or son is studying overseas in the event of an emergency.
