With UMBC Direct Programs, students can enroll directly in one of dozens of universities throughout the world.  Enrolling directly in a university overseas is geared for mature, independent students who may not need the additional services provided by a UMBC Affiliate Programs. 

Students interested in applying directly to an international university should keep the following issues in mind when making this choice.While you do save yourself the costs of having someone do the administrative leg work for you, you alone will be responsible for arranging accommodation, arrival and class registration with the international office of your host university. Students pay all tuition, fees, room and board costs directly at the international institution.

Many, but not all, universities in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada are able to admit visiting students for a summer, semester or academic year. Other universities have special programs specifically designed for visiting international students.
