How to Apply
Most candidates for the INNoVATE program will have an advanced life science or technology education (PhD, MD or MD/PhD). Participants should have an entrepreneurial perspective with a strong interest in starting a company. The ability to learn new concepts, persevere and commit to technology commercialization is necessary to gain full benefits from the program.

• A brief statement that describes your qualifications and reasons for applying to the program
• A resume (2-3 pages)
• A 1-page summary of a project of interest (intended to describe your general field of interest during the program)
Candidates who meet the above admission criteria will be invited for a short informational interview. The interviews provide an opportunity for applicants to ask specific questions about the program and for the program staff/instructors to learn more about the applicants.
Admissions are done on a rolling basis until the class is filled.
The program fee is $3000, to be paid in full at the beginning of the course.
Postdoctoral and doctoral candidates can qualify for a partially subsidized tuition of $2000.
The course content is divided into approximately 40 sessions. Classes begin on September 26, 2013 and will be held on Thursday evening each week from 6:30 – 9:00 pm and one Saturday per month at The Universities at Shady Grove campus in Rockville, Maryland. Approximately 40 class sessions are scheduled through June, 2014.
