Registration for Fall 2013

The registration process for Fall Semester 2013 has begun. It is a three step process:

1. Advising - Student requests and receives academic advisement

2. Authorization - Students are authorized to register by Drs. Hodell/Williams or Program Coordinator, Renee Eisenhuth

3. Registration - Student registers for class

1. Advising - All students must contact Dr. Chuck Hodell Hodell@umbc.edu to receive academic advising. This ensures that students don’t waste time or money by taking the wrong course. Students should complete their advising form for Dr. Hodell and include it with any authorization request. The advising form is at http://www.umbc.edu/isd/advising.html The course schedule can be found at http://www.umbc.edu/isd/coursebysemester.html

Your Academic Advising form must accompany all authorizations requests to Dr. Hodell. You must include the following information:

1. Courses completed
2. Courses that are incomplete
3. Program (MA, ISD Cert, IT Cert, DL Cert)
4. Requested course(s) including choice of online or in classroom if that option exists.
5. Campus ID

2. Authorization Process - The authorization process helps to ensure that you get the classes you need to graduate and there will be no authorizations without completing advising with Dr. Hodell. We will enter your authorization into the registration system and you will be able to register after the dates shown below. Authorization will expire two weeks after you have been authorized so don’t delay registering.

3. Registration - After students are authorized, they may registration online via myUMBC according to the dates below:
