STUDENT CATEGORY

AUTHORIZATION BEGINS

Master’s (ISD, ESOL, EHS, I/O Psych)

November 9th

Certificate

November 30th

Non-Degree
January 22nd

Authorizations (approvals) to register will be made once a week. Students can request authorization to register at any time, but they will have to follow the above schedule. Please note that being authorized to register does not guarantee you a seat in a class.

Students interested in courses EDUC 792T and 794 should contact Dr. Greg Williams directly at gregw@umbc.edu prior to requesting authorization. Students needing academic advising should contact Dr. Chuck Hodell at hodell@umbc.edu. Requests for authorization to register should be sent to Sharese Essien at sharese@umbc.edu. Please include in your email your campus ID, program (Certificate/MA, ISD, EHS, IO Psych. etc), course number, and delivery method (in-person or online.)

Students will be granted 4 weeks from the date of authorization to register. If you fail to register within this timeframe, your permission will expire and you must submit another request. You are strongly advised to register as soon as you receive authorization to do so. Waiting to register may jeopardize you getting the class you want, and possibly your graduation date. To ensure your place in the class, please register immediately after you are authorized.
