Intern, Enterprise Training Office

2 part-time internships available
15-20 hours per week
Summary: The Enterprise Training Office (ETO) Training Intern supports the development of eLearning and other blended courseware and performance support solutions in an Information Technology software development environment.
Responsibilities may include:
Assists instructional designers in conducting and reviewing training needs and gap analyses.
Writes content for online, instructor-led and blended courseware for business processes and systems application training and performance support.
Develops SDLC artifacts including training needs analysis and training plans.
Develops learning content from supplied learning objectives and other artifacts using learning applications such as Articulate, Captivate, Vovici, and collaborative media such as Helix.
Coordinates scheduling and project plans.
Assists with LMS administration tasks.

About the Enterprise Training Office (ETO) at AAMC: A newly established office, the ETO is dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of training solutions for staff as well as external members and constituents. As an integral part of the AAMC Information Technology team, the ETO designs, develops, and delivers training solutions for enterprise technical applications by closely collaborating with software development teams, business process architects, and internal business owners of systems in being upgraded, enhanced, and developed . The ETO is currently working on projects in these areas:
AAMC-wide applications including a Human Resources performance management system, Vovici survey tools, a NetForum association management system, and financial management applications.
AAMC-owned medical school application services (MCAT, AMCAS, and ERAS).
New Learning Management System (LMS).

Requirements:

Relevant coursework in instructional design, instructional technology, or other related discipline; or relevant coursework in business and/or technical writing, English, or Communication
Understanding of adult learning principles
Excellent writing and communication skills; impeccable grammar
Familiarity with eLearning applications such as Articulate and/or Captivate highly desired
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
