Job Title: Instructional Materials Developer
Location: The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Nursing Education Department
Description: Volunteer internship using ISD methods to develop instructional material for the purpose of training nurses in the use of physiologic monitors. A physiologic monitor works like an ElectroCardioGram (ECG) to measure and display critical cardiac data. Objectives:
Develop a 4-6 hour course and related materials for training use of physiologic monitors.
Complete instructional materials within the period of one semester.
Duties:
Meet weekly with subject matter experts at the Johns Hopkins Hospital for an hour and a half to collect data.
Develop instruction independently at your place of choice.
Produce instructional materials for various course modules.
Review and revise materials as needed.
Qualifications:
Some knowledge of medicine or biology would be helpful, as would an aptitude for working with menu-based user-interfaces.
Ability to lead an ISD project
