| Why
Participate:
- Obtain access to a pool of pre-screened, high achieving
UMBC students with an entrepreneurial interest.
- 50% of the student stipends are covered by foundation
funds. Estimated company contribution equals $1,250
per intern - approximately $6.94 per hour. Student interns are paid $2,500 for their service.
- Obtain a fresh perspective from interns.
How
the program Works at UMBC:
Submission, Selection, and Timetable
- Submit your position description by Tuesday, November 20, 2007.
- Receive student credentials for review by mid December.
- Interview potential candidates and make selections for
the best fit with your organization by the end of January.
- Begin intern placement during the first week of February.
Eligible
Companies Must:
- Have $50 million or less in annual revenue and/or fewer
than 100 employees.
- Have an office location/non home based business as students are required to work on-site.
