Why Participate:

• Obtain access to a pool of pre-screened, high achieving UMBC students with an entrepreneurial interest.

• Almost 46% of the student stipends are covered by foundation funds.  Estimated company contribution equals $1,200 per intern - approximately $6.67 per hour.

• Obtain a fresh perspective from interns.

• Receive invitations to attend the Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship Speakers Series and network with other entrepreneurs.

 

How the program Works at UMBC:
Submission, Selection, and Timetable

• Submit your position description by December 6, 2004.

• Receive student credentials for review in mid December

• Interview potential candidates and make selections for the best fit with your organization by the end of January.

• Begin intern placement during the first week of February.

 

Eligible Companies Must:

• Have $50 million or less in annual revenue and/or fewer than 200 employees
