Participating Departments
Facilities and Special Resources
Through its seven supporting departments and programs, the Program offers a
number of special resource collections and facilities, including the Resource
Center for Language and Culture. The departments have a number of local,
regional, national, and international partnerships which can serve as contexts
for internships. Internships can be arranged with public and private schools,
community colleges, and universities throughout Maryland; non-profit organizations,
governmental agencies, and other public and private institutions around
the country; and universities, binational institutes, and bilingual, American,
and international schools in a number of countries, including Mexico, Ecuador,
Chile, Brazil, China, and Thailand. Additional internships are available
through UMBC's Shriver Center.
