Cassie Bichy
 

Cassie L. Bichy, the Assistant Director of the Learning Resources Center, is responsible for assisting the Director in planning and evaluation for the department. She has responsibilities related to the Introduction to an Honors University program, tutor training, student success courses, placement testing, as well as other LRC programs.

Ms. Bichy came to UMBC in 1992 as the Communications Specialist for Student Support Services (SSS). She taught at CCBC-Essex, Villa Julie College, and in the Baltimore City School System.

Ms. Bichy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Towson University where she double majored in French and History. She received her Masters of Education from Loyola College in Maryland and is a Certified Reading Specialist. She has published in professional and technical journals.
She is past president of the Mid-Atlantic College Reading Association and has received several awards for her contributions to student achievement from professional organizations.
