Action Resource Center

If you are having problems in one or more of your classes, now is the time to take action.

The UMBC community is well aware of the difficulties many freshmen have. Everyone is ready to help you be successful this semester and throughout your academic career. The Action Resource Center will guide you through the actions you can take to achieve success. Read the list below, click on any links that apply to you, and take the required actions.

I am not attending class and/or have not handed in class assignments. I want to withdraw from a class. I don't have enough time to study. I am studying, but I'm getting poor results. I keep putting things off until the last minute. I'm stressed out. Tests make me nervous. I need a tutor. I need to learn better study techniques. My on campus living conditions are interfering with my studies. I don't know what's wrong or what to do. I'm having personal problems. I have money problems.

If you can't find help through these resources, come to the Learning Resource Center, ACIV B-wing 3rd floor, Room 345, and ask to speak to someone from the Freshman Year Intervention Program. We wish you success in achieving your academic goals.
