Placement Testing
for Current Students

We offer the Placement Tests for current student four different weeks a semester. These tests are administered in person on a walk-in basis so we can score your tests quickly and you can register for a class.

Current students who need to take the test are those who did not take it before coming to UMBC or those who's test has expired after two years.

Advanced Registration Testing Period; two weeks at the start of registration for next semester.

There is time to complete only one test< per session. Students who need to take Math and English must come for two testing periods. Prior sign-up is not required.

Testing takes place in Academic IV, B-Wing, Office 345, the Learning Resources Center.

Students must be on time, as testing begins promptly.

There will be ONLINE TESTING from November 12 to 19, email placement@umbc.edu to sign up for testing over Blackboard.
