The courses listed below are some of those that the LRC has tutored in the past few years. Our mission is to tutor any introductory level course, or any written assignment in a UMBC course, so this menu is just a starting point, please feel free to sign-up for tutoring in any 100 or 200 level course you are enrolled in and we will attempt to find you a tutor! Our success does depend upon our ability to recruit a willing and qualified tutor, as well as on your availability for tutoring. Historically, we have been successful in more than 95% of our attempts to schedule students for tutoring.
The Math Lab and Writing Center offer walk-in tutoring in the first floor of the library. To sign-up for small group tutoring, not covered by those centers, please fill out the Tutoring Enrollment Form. It takes us on average two business days to schedule your appointment. Appointment tutoring does happen on a weekly schedule, and you are expected to keep your tutoring appointment every week or you run the risk of being dropped from tutoring.
