LEGISLATIVE AUDIT ISSUES
The legislative auditors began their audit in January 2002. UMBC is a state-supported institution, and as such, is subject to audit by the Office of Legislative Audits (OLA). UMBC’s last legislative audit covered the period July1, 1996 through July 25, 1999 and the report was issued May 2000. The auditors will follow up on the status of prior audit exceptions to verify corrective actions have been implemented in your department. The auditors will be reviewing controls in the following areas: Cash Receipts, Purchasing Cards, Payroll, Revolving Accounts and Equipment.
