In providing its member s opportunities to license education hardware, software and services at competitive prices, MEEC will work with education appropriate vendors to establish agreements on behalf of MEEC members.
MEEC, hosted by the University System of Maryland, generally follows University System of Maryland Procurement Policies and Procedures guidelines and as such vendors establish MEEC agreements through a competitive process. In most cases, a Request for Proposal process is used where a vendor is selected based on both technical qualifications and price. In addition to this process, agreements may be negotiated with sole source vendors.
