Grant
Assistance to Faculty
Continuing
to build funded research is one of UMBC’s major goals. The process
of finding funding to match faculty research interests and securing
grants to support that research can be daunting. MIPAR provides
assistance to UMBC faculty seeking grant support for policy-related
research. We have expertise in identifying funding sources, developing
proposals, preparing budgets, and obtaining University approval.
After the grant is awarded, MIPAR acts as a liaison with the sponsor
and provides post-grant management assistance for every administrative
aspect of the project, from accounting and financial reports to
personnel, payroll, purchasing and travel.
If
you have an idea for a research project, or have identified a
potential funding opportunity, contact Don Norris (norris@umbc.edu)
or Linda Brown (librown@umbc.edu) to start a process that could
yield grant funding to further
your
research. For more information on grant assistance, click here.
