Assistance to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
MIPAR administers grants for different agencies in the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH). They are: Office of Maternal and Child Health; AIDS Administration; Center for Preventive Health Services; Office of Health Promotion, Education, and Tobacco Use Prevention; Office of Health Policy and Planning; Maryland Health Emergency Preparedness and Response; Office of Immunization, Office of Genetics and Children with Special Health Care Needs.
These grants assist the DHMH agencies to administer projects and conduct research. They also provide funding to support approximately 10 UMBC graduate research assistants and provide opportunities for faculty and graduate students to become involved in DHMH projects and utilize DHMH databases for research. |
