The UMBC Chamber Players
Airi Yoshioka, Director The course investigates the instrumental chamber works of Western Art
Music, ranging from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic to contemporary repertoire.
The class is divided into smaller groups (Duo, trio, quartet, quintet, sextet, etc.) according to the technical and musical level of the students. The groups rehearse a couple of times a week in addition to receiving weekly guidance from the designated coach. There are monthly soirees for the class to come together and explore topics related to chamber music, The culmination of the course is the concert that presents all participating groups. |
