The UMBC Jazz small groups
Matt Belzer and Tom Lagana, Directors
Jazz groups focus on the various aspects of playing in a small group which include group interaction, improvisation and developing an original group voice.
Strong emphasis is on performance. Students must pass an audition in order to participate. Selected Recent Repertoire:
