Visitor Information
UMBC is located in a cultural region 15 minutes from downtown Baltimore, near the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and numerous professional concert series, and 45 minutes from Washington, DC.
Directions to UMBC

From Baltimore and points north, proceed south on I-95 to Exit 47B. Take Route 166 toward Catonsville and then follow signs to campus and visual and performing arts venues.

From I-695 take Exit 12C (Wilkens Avenue) and continue one-half mile to the entrance of UMBC at the intersection of Wilkens Avenue and Hilltop Road. Turn left and then follow signs to campus and visual and performing arts venues.

From Washington and points south, proceed north on I-95 to Exit 47B. Take Route 166 toward Catonsville and then follow signs to campus and visual and performing arts venues.

Parking

Visitor Parking is available in metered lots, with the Walker Avenue Garage being the closest to the Fine Arts Building. Meters are enforced year round Monday-Friday from 7:30am - 9:00pm. Meter fees are $.25 for each 15 minutes, quarters only, maximum time of 5 hours. Meters are enforced when university offices are open even if classes are not scheduled. Parking Services does not guarantee that change will be available on campus.

A disabled visitor may park at a meter without cost for a maximum of 4 hours. a valid state issued disabled license plate or placard must be displayed.
