B.S. in Music Education (Cum Laude)
Robert White has completed over thirty years as a music educator in the public schools of Howard County, Maryland. During his career, he has taught instrumental music at the elementary and secondary levels, served as the Music Resource Teacher, and is currently the Instructional Facilitator of Music.
Mr. White has presented clinics on various topics at Maryland Music Educator Association conferences, served as a guest presenter at several local colleges and universities, and taught courses at Howard Community College. He has also been an active musician (tuba and tenor banjo) in the Baltimore/Washington region for over twenty-five years, performing various types of music, but specializing in Dixieland and traditional jazz. Mr. White’s associations with several groups have given him opportunities to perform nationally and internationally, including events in Reykjavik (Iceland), London, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt.
In addition to his degree programs, Mr. White has taken additional coursework at McDaniel College, Towson University, the Peabody Conservatory and Johns Hopkins University.
