Bio

The music of composer Martín Gendelman has been performed in the United States, Europe, and South America by solo artists, chamber ensembles, and orchestra, and has been the subject of various academic lectures, in both Italy and Argentina. In addition, he has been actively involved, in recent years, in the creation of multi-disciplinary projects with chorographers, video artists, and others. As part of his recent activity, he took part, in the summer of 2008, in the 19th edition of the Forfest Kromeriz Festival, in the Czech Republic. As and educator, he received an award, in 2004, from the Music Teacher’s Association of California, where he resided for two years. Since then, he has taught at several prestigious institutions in the metropolitan areas of Baltimore and Washington DC, including the University of Maryland College Park, the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Towson University, The Catholic University of America, and the Levine School of Music.
