A ProTools HD2-accel system with 5.1 surround Genelec and Event stereo monitoring. A Digidesign Control24 console is installed and a wide variety of plugins are available including Waves TDM Diamond and 360 Surround, Altiverb 5, Sony Oxford EQ and Massenburg DesignWorks EQ.

A ProTools Digi002 console with an external Focusrite preamp for introductory level recording activity. Waves plugins are installed and Reason is also available for students interested in using virtual instruments.

A new 5.1 listening facility, kindly donated by Polk Audio, is installed in Tracking Room 508 for SACD/DVD listening sessions.

This tracking room is connected to our three control rooms.

The Recital Hall Control Room is equipped with a True Systems Precision 8 Preamp and a Digi002 console. It is used to record all concert events taking place in the Music Department.

The studios have a comprehensive selection of microphones available for recording from manufacturers such as AKG, Audio Technica, Audix, Beyerdynamic, Blue, Cole, Earthworks, Groovetube, Neumann, Rodes, Sennheiser and Shure.
