UMBC Camerata
director
David Smith

UMBC Camerata at UMBC is a select chamber choir of 16 to 24 singers. The group performs great choral literature in a variety of styles, from Renaissance motets to avant-garde contemporary works. Sometimes Camerata joins forces with the UMBC Concert Choir and the UMBC Community Symphony Orchestra to perform major works. Because UMBC Camerata performs a more challenging repertoire, those who are interested must audition at the beginning of the semester. However, one does not need to be a music major to join Camerata, as long as she or he is willing to make the commitment necessary for a successful ensemble.

Upcoming Concert Program and Information can be found in the Calendar of Events

If you have any questions or are interested in joining, please contact the director, David Smith.
