UMBC Classical Guitar Ensemble

The UMBC Classical Guitar Ensemble is one of the more active performing groups on campus with concerts throughout the year. The main purpose of the class is to give guitarists much needed experience playing chamber music and to expose them to a variety of style periods. The diverse repertoire of the ensemble ranges from guitar duos, trios, quartets etc. up to works for twelve guitars! Music for guitar with other instruments and/or voice is also stressed. Students enrolled in the course are required to take private guitar lessons concurrently (193G or 390G) and must audition before registering.
