Kimberly Buschek

An avid teacher and performer, Kimberly Buschek resides in Washington DC where she works with several diverse ensembles. Kimberly has been a member of the Richmond Symphony since 2003 and she performs frequently as a substitute with the National Symphony, Washington National Opera, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Recently, she toured Europe and Asia as a member of the Verbier Orchestra. Ms. Buschek is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Maryland. She holds degrees from Rice University and the New England Conservatory where she was a recipient of the Gunther Schuller award. Kimberly has performed solo recitals throughout New England as a Piatigorsky Foundation Artisit. Her primary teachers include Daniel Foster, Martha Strongin Katz, Heidi Castleman, and James Dunham. Ms. Buschek participated in the Sarasota and Verbier music festivals and was a fellow at Aspen and Tanglewood.
