Advising
- All visual arts majors are advised first by the Undergraduate Program Director for Visual Arts.
- A Visual Arts Advising Form is completed at the first advising session; this lists the Visual Arts requirements and University requirements for graduation.
- Advising forms are updated at every advising session, showing progress toward the degree.
- After earning 45 - 60 credits, students are assigned to a faculty advisor who teaches in their selected concentration.
- Advisors are assigned in early November and early April, and the assignments are posted in the Fine Arts Office (FA 111), FA 108, and to the visual arts listserv.
- Advisors will discuss a student's proposed course schedule, and can provide information about internships, independent study, study abroad opportunities and academic progress.
- All other academic advising information is available on the UMBC StudentLink
