| RENTING
REGALIA
As
in the past, UMBC will subsidize the rental of
academic regalia for faculty, administrative
and associate staff. The Bookstore will begin
to accept orders for regalia on October 13. To
reserve regalia, please use the electronic
response form.
If you have previously ordered regalia
at UMBC, your information will automatically appear
on screen when you use your user name. If you have
not ordered before, you must enter the following
information: your cap size, height with shoes,
weight, degree earned and the name of the school
where the degree was earned. For more information,
call Gail Dupree at the Bookstore at 410-455-3807.
Faculty should order regalia
by Friday, October 24. Beginning October
27, you will pay a late charge of
$20 for your order. Even if there is a slight
chance that you will attend Commencement, you
should order regalia. It is easier for the Bookstore
to return unused gowns and hoods than it is to
place a late order and not receive delivery on
time.
Regalia will be ready for
pick-up at the Bookstore Graduation Center beginning
on Monday, December 8 and will continue through
Monday, December 15. For more information,
call Gail Dupree at the Bookstore at 410-455-3807. Faculty
and staff must pick up regalia at the Bookstore
by Monday, December 15. Regalia will not be available
at the RAC.
The Bookstore requests that you return
your regalia to the Bookstore immediately following
the ceremony. Please do not leave regalia at the
RAC after the ceremony.

Platform Party and Marshals
Members
of the platform party and marshals should report
to the platform party robing area, Court II,
in the RAC by 9:15 a.m. (This is the same location
where the platform party lined up for Convocation.)
A student marshal will be available to monitor
the area, so platform party members may leave
their jackets and coats while the ceremony
takes place. Marshals will receive their batons
at this time and will receive instructions
on where to line up for the procession. Platform
party members and marshals will receive an
event briefing a week before the ceremony with
