1970
Ronald Ramey, political science, is a copy center operator
at Didlake, Inc. for the Department of Energy. He resides in Arlington,
Va.
1971
David Servary, economics, is the associate director of
administration for the UMBC College of Engineering. He is also the new president
of the on-campus alumni association and resides in Catonsville, Md. with
his wife, Gerry.
1972
Pat Rudolph, economics, is a professor at American
University in the Kogod School of Business. She resides in Glen Burnie,
Md.
Warren Wilson, economics, is vice president of the Rouse
Company and lives in Ellicott City, Md. with his wife, Elizabeth Tkacik,
economics ’96. She is owner and president of Tkacik and Associates.
1973
Edward Cozzolino, English, was recently named one of
three outstanding administrators by State Superintendent Nancy Grasmick
to enhance the quality of education in Baltimore City. Formerly the principal
of Shady Spring Elementary School, he has been named new principal of
Brehms Lane Elementary School. He resides in Cockeysville, Md.
Mary Joanne Hughes, English, is a racehorse trainer for
Bowie Race Training Center. She and her husband, William, live in Sykesville,
Md.

Robert “Steve” Crabtree, political science,
since graduation, has worked in the Peace Corps, received an M.B.A. at
the American Graduate School of International Management and is currently
a controller for the Foreign Service of the U.S. Agency for International
Development. He resides in Budapest, Hungary with his wife, Jill, and
children, Joseph, Jennifer and Jacquelyn.

Craig Blucher, biological sciences, is practicing dentistry
in Ellicott City, Md..

1976
Harry Johnson, political science, a partner in the
Baltimore law firm of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, has been chosen
president-elect of the Maryland Bar Association. When he takes office
in July 2003, he will become the first African-American president of the
20,000- member organization. He resides in Cockeysville, Md.
1977
Harry Schwartz, economics, is a commercial accounts
manager for the Beltmann Group. He lives in Orlando, Fla. with his wife,
Judy.
John Sheridan, psychology, received a bachelor’s
degree in nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1979 and
his master’s degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing in
1990. He also received a master’s degree in oriental medicine from
the East West College of Natural Medicine and is a nationally certified
acupuncturist. He resides in Sarasota, Fla.
John Whitelock III, economics, is a corporate credit
manager at Baltimore Aircoil Company. He resides in Severna Park, Md.
with his wife, Kathleen.

Stanley Mical, chemistry, is a financial advisor for
American Express Financial Advisors. He lives with his wife, June, and
two sons, Alan and David, in Baltimore.

Dorinda Schultz, psychology, is a psychotherapist for
the Pasadena Center for Counseling and resides in Pasadena, Md. with her
husband, Leonard.
1982
George McGeeney, economics, has been selected to the
United States Lacrosse National Hall of Fame, becoming the first Retriever
to receive the honor. He is one of 10 individuals who will be inducted
to the hall’s 45th class at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, Md.
on Oct. 12. George is executive vice president of Affordable Residential
Communities and resides in Highlands Ranch, Colo. with his wife, Patrice.
Michael Pesto, economics, is manager of carrier relations for Aether Systems,
Inc. and resides in Sykesville, Md. with his wife, Catherine Pesto, economics
’83. She is a manager for the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare
Services.

Robin Kyler-Magwood, political science, is a senior
health insurance specialist at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
She lives with her husband, Johnny, and two children, Haley and Johnny-Marcus,
in Ellicott City, Md.
1985
Karen Johnson, political science, the chief executive
officer of the Maryland Higher Education Commission, was honored for her
career leadership in education at the second annual Women of Color Government
and Defense Technology Awards Training Conference. She resides in Baltimore.

John Marshall III, information systems, is practice
director at the Oracle Corporation in Columbia, Md. He lives in Elkridge,
Md.
Earl May, biochemistry and molecular biology, is a senior
investigator at GlaxoSmithKline and resides in Wayne, Pa. with his wife,

Andrew Harris, emergency health services, is the director

Michael Lovitch, emergency health services, is a paramedic

Constance Pierson, economics and sociology and M.S. sociology

Khadijah Ali-Coleman, interdisciplinary studies, is
assistant director for the Covenant House Washington Peer-Supported Pregnancy

architect for IBM. He resides in Boulder, Colo.
David Berrier, psychology, is a national category development

Eric Carlton, Africana studies, is regional vice president
of Alternatives Unlimited and resides in Chicago, Ill.
Julie Middleton-Mullen, biological sciences, received
a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine in June 2002. She and her husband, Edward, reside in Alexandria,
Va.

Monica Allen, economics, is a reliability analyst for
QSA, Inc. She and her husband, Gary, and daughter, Rachel, live in Gaithersburg,

Derek Letsch, English, is a teacher in the Baltimore

Beth (Masters) Marosy, biological sciences, is a research
assistant at the Johns Hopkins University and resides in Deale, Md.
1993
Tamerin Dygert, theatre, launched a project titled
“One City One Story” in Gainesville, Fla. It is a city-wide
literacy project that has been implemented in Seattle, Chicago and Rochester.
Maria Karakatsanis, information systems management, is
an EDP manager at WS Karoulias S.A. and lives with her husband, Kostas,
in Athens, Greece.
1994
Brenda Jean (Long) Payne, English, received a master’s
degree from UMBC in instructional systems development in 2001. She is
teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools and lives with her husband
Robert in Catonsville, Md.
Robyn Rhudy, chemistry, is a HPLC chemist at Straburger
& Siegel. She published her first book, Robyn’s Pond Book, about
water gardening and fishponds. She resides in Marriottsville, Md.

Samuel Graber, economics, is a business development
manager for Best Buy, Inc. He resides in St. Louis Park, Minn.
Hilary (Fuller) Timmons, psychology, is a social worker
at Hospice Care of Tri-County. She and husband, Joseph, and son, Joseph
Adams IV, live in Columbia, S.C.
Ian Turpen, visual and performing arts, is an admissions
officer for the Art Institute of Seattle. He resides in Dupont, Wash.

Jon Cardin, M.P.S. policy sciences, is campaigning
to be a delegate in the 11th District House of Delegates. He resides in
Lutherville, Md.
Maura Mackowski, M.A. historical studies, completed her Ph.D.
in history, specializing in United States history, from Arizona State
University. She also earned a certificate in scholarly publishing. She
resides in Gilbert, Ariz.
Brock Okine, biochemistry, is a program manager for General
Electric Nuclear Energy. He resides in Wilmington, N.C.
Anna Kristina Soderberg, theatre, is a theatre director, teacher
and professional clown. She resides in Portland, Ore.
John Yori III, history, is owner of Mission Hills Landscaping,
LLC. He resides in Baltimore.

Robert Hastings, computer science, is a programmer
for the Computer Sciences Corporation. He resides in Silver Spring, Md.
Nikolai Nadal, political science, is the program officer
for the Middle East and Africa for the Center for International Private
Enterprise. He resides in Arlington, Va.
Timothy Perkins, emergency health services, is an emergency
medical services manager at Syracuse University and lives in Auburn, N.Y.
Keith Scott, political science, is director of workforce
development at Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley, Inc. He and his

Buffy Baldridge, American studies, is a law student

Sally Hauffman, history and psychology, completed her
master’s degree in business administration from Mount Saint Mary’s

Samuel Neville, emergency health services, is a flight
paramedic for MedSTAR. He and his wife, Deborah, and daughter, Sarah,

Kelly Pike, health administration and policy, is a policy
analyst for the New York State Task Force on Life and the Law. She received
a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School
of Public Health in May 2002 and resides in New York, N.Y.
Craig Smith, emergency health services, is CEO and instructor
at First Response Lifeline and Training. He and wife, Tracy, and three
children, Kyle, Ryan and Zachary, live in Upper Marlboro, Md.
Marlon Thomas, chemistry, is a graduate student at the
University of California, Irvine.

Dinari Harris, biochemistry and molecular biology, received
the United Negro College Fund Merck Graduate Science Research Dissertation
Fellowship for 2002-2003. He is a student at the University of Michigan,
pursuing a Ph.D. in biology.
Megan Jones, visual and performing arts, is publications
coordinator at Capitol College and resides in Columbia, Md.
Sharon Thomas-Patterson, health sciences and policy,
is a research coordinator at the Johns Hopkins University and resides

of a son, Jabari, on April 16, 2002. Dwayne is a chemist for the Consumer

Eugene Doss, information systems ’01, announces
the birth of a daughter, Rebecca Dorian, on Feb. 18, 2002. He is a resource
systems analyst for US Airways and resides in Elkridge, Md. with his wife,
Melanie. This is their second child.
Keith Drexel, information systems management ’94,
announces the birth of a daughter, Madelyn, on May 24, 2002. Keith is
