First Year Commuter Retreat

All equipment, meals, supplies, and transportation provided.
Physical demands are low impact to moderate---no experience necessary!

The Commuter Retreat is designed to support you and your transition from high school to the UMBC Community. At UMBC, we value relationships, connecting with others and building community. This is a special opportunity for you to ignite your own creativity and leadership, while forming lasting friendships.

All first year off-campus and commuting students are invited to attend. Reservations and sign-up begins June 13, 2012. The last day register is August 17, 2012. Should students fail to cancel their reservation for this event by August 20, 2012, OCSS reserves the right to attach a $50 fee to UMBC student account to cover the financial costs incurred. Please contact beng@umbc.edu to cancel.

10:30am-3:00pm Above & Beyond Low Ropes course OR
10:30am-3:30pm Collaborate art project at Load of Fun Gallery
4:00pm Wrap-up activity at UMBC
5:30-7:30pm Dinner at True Grit's Dining Hall (optional)

There will be no charge to UMBC students, on a first-come, first-serve basis. I understand that by registering and not attending, I am preventing another UMBC student from participating and causing the sponsors to incur monetary expenses.
