What is Good Evening Commuters (GEC)?
Good Evening Commuters is sponsored by the office of Off-Campus and Transfer Student Services, "Commuter Connection Program". Good Evening Commuters is an outreach program geared to off-campus, transfer, evening and non-traditional aged students. The goals of the event are: (a) to promote community building ,(b) offer networking opportunities among students and (c) offer campus resource information. Good Evening Commuters is staffed by Commuter Assistant Peer Leaders every Thursday who are available to answer your questions about academic schedules, campus resources and upcoming events.
Students can also purchase a Commuter Gold Card at The Commons Information Desk!
This is a great opportunity to get your Commuter Gold Card. As our special promotion package on September 20th and October 4th; the first 10 students would receive a free Gold Card. UMBC students can buy the card for $5, valid for the academic year 2007-2008. Gold Card specials include: free breakfast every Tuesday at Good Morning Commuters , free snacks and refreshments at Good Evening Commuters Program, plus a 10 % discount at Freshens, SubConnection, Bluestown BBQ, Pete’s Arena, Grill 155 in the Commons and at the Resident Dinning Hall.

Library’s Jazzman opens from 6:00pm-10:00pm Sunday-Thursday.
