Making
a Survey Available to Students |

After you
have created a survey, you need to "deploy" it to
make it available to students. This tutorial assumes you have
already created the survey and are prepared to post it in
your Blackboard course.

Adding the Survey to a Course Content Area |
|
From your course Control Panel, select the Content Area in
which you like to place your survey.
Content
Areas, which appear as menu buttons on the main course page,
include: Course Information, Course Documents, and Assignments.

Selecting the Survey |
|
|
|
In this example, Course Documents was chosen as the Content
Area. On the right-hand side, select Survey
from the dropdown menu, then click Go.

Select
the survey you would like to add from the list of existing
surveys.
Click Submit.
|

| 3.
Deploying the Survey |
|
After you have successfully added the survey, you have the
option to modify it, and make it available to students.
Click Modify the survey options.
Select
Yes to make the link visible
(makes the survey available within your selected Content Area).
Select
Yes to automatically generate an
announcement on the Announcement page. Students must
click on the content area (i.e. Course Documents, Assignments,
etc.) from the course menu to access the available survey.

You may also set
the date during which you would like the survey to
be available.
Under Display After, select the availability
date and time.
If you select Display Until, you may use
the dropdown menus to select the date the survey is no longer
viewable.
* Leaving this option unchecked will leave the survey open
until you make the link no longer visible.
If you choose to
Set password, please make sure your students
have been made aware of the password or where to obtain it.

Unavailable
surveys listed in Instructor view as "Item is not available",
the icon is greyed
Unavailable surveys do appear in students' view
